Terms of use

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to stipulate the conditions and procedures and other necessary matters regarding the use of the homepage service (hereinafter referred to as Service) provided by “Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center (hereinafter referred to as “Site”).

Article 2 (Effectiveness and Change of Terms and Conditions)

① These terms and conditions become effective when they are posted on the “Site” homepage and used by service users.
② The “Site” may change these terms and conditions if a reasonable cause arises, and if the terms and conditions are changed, the changes will be announced at least 7 days in advance.
③ If service users do not agree to the changed terms and conditions, they can stop using the service at any time. Continued use of the service after the effective date of the Terms and Conditions will be deemed as the user's agreement to any changes to the Terms and Conditions.

Article 3 (Rules other than terms and conditions)

If matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions are stipulated in relevant laws and regulations, such provisions shall apply. Otherwise, general practices shall apply.

Article 4 (Scope of Application)

① These terms and conditions apply to homepage users of the “Site”.
② Matters not specified in these terms and conditions may be applied in accordance with relevant laws and the purpose of the service usage guide for each service.

Article 5 (Establishment of Use Agreement)

① Users can use the service by entering personal information according to the procedures set forth in the “Site” and then expressing their intention to agree to the Terms of Use.
② The time of establishment of the service agreement is the time of agreement to the terms and conditions.

Article 6 (Service Usage Hours)

Service usage hours are, in principle, 24 hours a day (00:00-24:00), 365 days a year, unless there are special problems with the business or technology of the "Site".
(However, this does not apply to days or times determined by the “Site” for the need for regular inspection, etc.)

Article 7 (Restrictions on Service Use)

“Site” may terminate the service or suspend provision of all or part of the service without prior notice in any of the following cases.
1. If false reservation information is registered
2. In case of threatening the order of website operation, such as stealing other people's information
3. When using the service to engage in an act prohibited by the law or these Terms and Conditions or contrary to public order and morals
4. When distributing a computer virus program within the service
5. If the intellectual property rights of the “Site” and a third party are violated and correction is refused
6. Actions that damage the reputation of the “Site” and third parties or interfere with business
7. If you do not use the reservation without canceling
8. Other cases deemed inappropriate by the “Site”

Article 8 (Reservation-related)

① Reservation applications can be made through the reservation service on the “Site.”
② Cancellation is possible through the Internet until the experience time, and refunds will be processed through credit card authorization cancellation. However, cancellation and refund are not possible after the experience time.
③ If you change your reservation details, you must cancel the reservation and make a new reservation.
④ If there is a change in reservation details due to circumstances of the “Site” and the contact information provided in the reservation information is unclear and cannot be notified, the “Site” is not responsible.

Article 9 (Experience Hall Rental) Experience hall rental and cancellation/refund matters are subject to relevant laws and regulations, including the operation regulations of the “Site.”


Article 10 (Compensation Regulations) In the following cases, the “Site” must cancel the reservation and provide a refund even after the cancellation deadline has passed.

1. When use becomes impossible due to reasons attributable to the “Site.”
2. When use of the “Site” becomes impossible due to wind, flood, sea, natural disaster, natural disaster, etc.

Article 11 (Restrictions on deletion and use of posts)

① If the “Site” determines that there is no room for service facilities, it may delete content posted or registered by the user or partially restrict the user’s use of the service, as necessary, after prior notice of related matters.
② If the “Site” determines that the contents of the service posted or registered by the user fall under any of the following items, it may delete it without prior notice to the user.
1. When slandering another user or a third party or damaging their reputation through slander

4. If it is judged to be linked to anti-national, anti-social, or criminal acts

Article 12 (Suspension and Restriction of Service)

① “Site” may stop providing services in any of the following cases.
1. In unavoidable cases due to repair or construction of service facilities
2. When the telecommunication service provider specified in the Telecommunications Business Act suspends telecommunication services
② The “Site” may suspend or restrict the provision of services when there is a disruption in the use of the service due to a national emergency, service facility failure, or excessive use of the service.


Article 13 (Obligations of “Site”)

① The “Site” must maintain the facilities of the “Site” to be suitable for providing stable services and must make efforts to quickly recover in the event of a failure in the service facilities.
② If there are any changes or additions to the service contents, they will be announced online on the service screen.


Article 14 (Personal Information Protection)

① The “Site” includes personal information of “members” provided at the time of application in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, such as the Act on Disclosure of Information by Public Institutions and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., personal information additionally provided later, and Personal information generated while using the service must be protected.
② The “Site” does not provide personal information to a third party without the separate consent of the user, and in the following cases, the personal information of the registrant may be provided to a third party without the separate consent of the user.
1. When personal information such as name and address is provided to a national investigative agency for the purpose of investigation cooperation when there is a written request from an investigative agency for investigative purposes
2. When there are special provisions in laws such as the Act on Use and Protection of Credit Information and Telecommunications-related Act
3. When it is necessary for statistical compilation, academic research, or market research and is provided in a form that does not identify specific individuals
③ “Site” users can always view the personal information they entered while using the service and correct any errors.
④ Users of the “Site” may withdraw their consent to the collection and use of personal information, separate consent to use for other purposes, and separate consent to provision to third parties by terminating their use of the service at any time.


Article 15 (Obligations of Service Users)

① Users must not engage in any of the following acts when using the service.
1. Registration of false information when applying for or changing a reservation
2. Theft of other people’s information
3. Changes to information posted by the “Site”
4. Transmission or posting of information (computer programs, etc.) other than that specified by the “Site”
5. Infringement of intellectual property rights, such as copyrights, of the “Site” and other third parties
6. Actions that damage the reputation of the “Site” and other third parties or interfere with their business
7. Disclosing or posting obscene or violent messages, videos, voices, or other information that is against public order and morals on the “Service”
8. Using the “Service” for commercial purposes without the consent of the “Site”
9. Other illegal or unfair acts
② Service users must comply with relevant laws, the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, notices announced in relation to the “Service”, matters notified by the “Site”, etc., and must not engage in any other actions that interfere with the business of the “Site”.
③ The terminals used by service users must comply with the standards set forth in the rules on technical standards for telecommunication facilities and must not cause any disruption to the “Service.”


Article 16 (Rights to published materials)

① The copyright of a “post” posted within the “Service” belongs to the author of the post.
② “Posts” posted within the “Service” may be exposed in search results, “Service” and related events. In this case, the “Site” complies with copyright law regulations, and service users can take actions such as deleting posts at any time.
③ If the “Site” wishes to use the user’s “posting” in a manner other than Paragraph 2, it must obtain the user’s consent in advance via phone, fax, e-mail, etc.


Article 17 (Indemnification)

① Even if the service is interrupted in accordance with Article 7 of the “Site” Terms and Conditions or damages are incurred to users due to reasons specified in Article 10, the Company shall not be held liable.
② The “Site” is not responsible for any disruption in the use of the “Service” due to reasons attributable to the user.
③ The “Site” is not responsible for the reliability or accuracy of information, data, or facts posted in relation to the User’s “Service.”
④ The “Site” is exempt from liability in the event of transactions, etc. between users or between users and a third party through the “Service”.
⑤ “Site” is not responsible for the use of services unless there are special provisions in relevant laws.


Article 18 (Dispute Resolution)

① Lawsuits filed between the “Site” and users are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
② The “Site” and users must make all necessary efforts to amicably resolve disputes arising in connection with the service.
③ Litigation regarding disputes arising between the “Site” and users shall be filed in the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.

Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center is a metaverse experience center operated by jeonbuk state and operated by the Wonkwang University consortium.

Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center protects the personal information and rights of information subjects in accordance with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. and the Personal Information Protection Act, and ensures that information subjects' grievances related to personal information are smoothly handled. 1. Personal information status


① The processing items and purposes of personal information registered and disclosed by Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center in accordance with Article 32 of the Personal Information Protection Act are as follows.

-Purpose of processing: Reservation schedule consultation and viewing schedule information
-Collection method: Online
-Retention basis: Information subject consent
-Retention period: 3 years from the date of submission

② Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center processes personal information for the relevant purpose, and the processed personal information is not used for purposes other than the purpose. If the purpose of use changes, prior consent may be obtained.

③ Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center processes and retains personal information within the personal information retention and use period in accordance with laws and regulations or within the personal information retention and use period consented to when collecting personal information from the information subject.

④ You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use, and provision of personal information at any time by contacting the person in charge in writing, by phone, or by email.

2. Matters regarding provision of personal information to third parties


In principle, the Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center processes the personal information of the information subject within the scope specified for the purpose of collection and use, and, except in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, does not process the personal information of the information subject without prior consent of the information subject. We do not process it beyond the scope of its purpose or provide it to a third party.

① Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center may entrust personal information processing to ensure smooth personal information processing.

② When concluding a consignment contract, the Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center stipulates in the contract matters related to responsibilities such as prohibition of processing personal information for purposes other than the purpose of performing consignment work, technical and managerial protection measures, restrictions on re-entrustment, management and supervision of the consignee, and compensation for damages in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. etc. are specified in documents, and we supervise whether the trustee handles personal information safely.

③ If the details of the entrusted work or the trustee changes, it will be disclosed through this policy without delay.

4. Rights and obligations of information subjects and methods of exercising them


①The information subject can exercise the following rights as a personal information subject.

②The rights of the information subject can be exercised in the following manner in accordance with the form in Annex No. 8 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act.

③The exercise of rights under paragraph 1 may be done through an agent, such as the information subject's legal representative or a person authorized to do so. In this case, you must submit a power of attorney in the form of Appendix No. 3 of the “Notice on Personal Information Processing Methods (No. 2020-7)”.

④Requests to view and suspend personal information processing may limit the information subject's rights pursuant to Article 35, Paragraph 4 and Article 37, Paragraph 2 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

⑤ Requests for correction or deletion of personal information cannot be requested if the personal information is specified as a collection target in other laws and regulations.

⑥Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center verifies whether the person who made the request, such as a request for viewing, a request for correction or deletion, or a request for suspension of processing, is the person or a legitimate agent in accordance with the information subject's rights.


5. Reservation payment service and cancellation


①A reservation payment service is provided through the Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center website, and the reservation period may vary depending on the user’s choice of reservation service. This follows the contents specified in the Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center website homepage usage instructions. Changes to the reservation service policy will take effect by announcing the policy change in a pop-up window.


②Cancellation of reservation payment can be made through the website. Cancellation is possible via the internet until the experience time. Cancellation is not possible after entry.


6. Destruction of personal information


Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center destroys personal information without delay when personal information becomes unnecessary, such as when the personal information retention period has passed or the purpose of processing has been achieved.

◊ Destruction procedure: The information entered by the information subject is stored for a certain period of time after the purpose is achieved and then destroyed. It will not be used for any other purpose during retention for a certain period of time.

◊Destruction period: Personal information will be destroyed within 5 days of the end of the retention period.

◊Destruction method: Deleted using technical methods that cannot be recovered or reproduced.

7. Measures to ensure the safety of personal information


Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center is taking the following technical, managerial and physical measures to ensure stability in accordance with Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

①Technical measures against hacking, etc.
-Saemangeum Metaverse Experience Center installs a security program and conducts periodic updates and inspections to prevent personal information leakage and damage due to hacking or computer viruses, installs a system in an area with controlled access from the outside, and provides technical/physical surveillance and monitoring. Blocking.

② Restriction of access to personal information processing system
-Necessary measures are taken to control access to personal information by granting, changing, and deleting access rights to the system that processes personal information, and unauthorized access from outside is controlled using an intrusion prevention system.

③Minimization and training of employees handling personal information
